As part of the celebrations surrounding the Frankfurt Book Fair, Versopolis – the European platform for poetry – invites you to an evening of poetic exploration at the distinguished venue of Massif Central im Bethmannhof. On Friday, October 18th, at 18:00, three distinguished poets will gather to share their insights and works, offering a captivating glimpse into the contemporary European poetry scene.
The event will feature Czech poet Jan Škrob, Croatian poet Monika Herceg, and German poet Mikael Vogel, who will engage in a roundtable discussion moderated by Aljaž Koprivnikar, the coordinator of the Versopolis platform. Delving into themes of contemporary life, identity, and cultural heritage, these poets will offer their perspectives on the state of modern European poetry. The roundtable will be followed by readings in each poet’s native language, as well as their German translations, providing an immersive experience of poetic diversity.
